Within our membership, smaller clubs and general gatherings meet throughout the year. We have the four “B’s,” in books, bowling, bridge, and bunko, among our smaller social clubs. There are also paper crafting and culinary clubs that meet regularly, with other clubs forming as interest grows. Larger general membership meetings usually occur on the third Thursday of the month, hosted by various spouse organizations throughout the base. Additionally, our affiliation with local Japanese counterparts allows us inimitable intercultural experiences!
Charitably speaking, our area of giving encompasses the local community, both inside and outside the gate. Our main fundraising activity is the Misawa Thrift Shop, which involves and gives back to the community simultaneously. The proceeds from the Thrift Shop fund our welfare, scholarships, and tuition assistance programs.
