We operate the thrift shop in conjunction with the Misawa Social Network. We are very proud of the work we do there. It's a wonderful place to find great deals on second hand treasures and a fun and fulfilling place to work or volunteer . Our share of the profits go to the MOSC Welfare Fund to be donated to the Misawa Air Base Community. There is a special on something every day that we are open. One day it may be women's pants the next it may be baby clothes. Sometimes we even offer a paper bag The 2nd Saturday of every month is the only weekend we are open. All donated items tagged at $5 or less are 50 cents that day, and donated items over $5 are half price. |

All service members with a rank of E-1 to E-4 have the opportunity to shop once a month and recieve up to $20 of donated items at no charge. (On Saturdays the regular price will be assessed for items.)
Active duty personnel can sign for 2 sets of uniforms a month free of charge. This includes two tops, two bottoms and a pair of shoes. We carry every type of uniform item available in the military including ranks, hats, and pt gear.
These items are NOT available to dependents. You must have an active duty ID card to receive items.
The thrift store is proud to be a part of the We Care Passport program. People who present the passport can recieve up to $10 of donated items at no charge.
With the cooperation of the Labor and Delivery unit, all newborns recieve a $10 gift certificate before leaving the hospital good for three months from their date of birth on infant clothing and items.
Donations
Donations can be made at any time at the drop-off boxes located behind the wooden fence on the right side of the building. We appreciate: clothes, books,
household items, sheets and comforters, movies, music, etc. Please make sure items are clean, free of stains (even ones that would wash out), and work as
advertised. If you have an item that is no longer in working order, please place it in front of your house for trash pick-up instead of bringing it to the store.
All items that are in good condition that we cannot use at our store are donated to the Morioka Orphanage.
Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
The store couldn't run without our volunteers.
Please come in when the store is open for further information.
